Ah . . . the humble but essential black oxidized sterling silver open jump ring.  Most jewelry designers would agree running out of jump rings, especially when you are in the zone, is just the pits!  Stock up, because you know you'll use them. 

These jump rings are sturdy and an essential size for most jewelry applications.

To open jump rings: take pliers in each hand and, holding upright, open one side by bending it away from you and the other towards you.
